We have internationally well-known trainers who come to lead workshops and classes at the institute regularly.
*ATM refers toAwareness Through Movement, or group Feldenkrais Method classes.The classes consists of verbally directed, gentle exercise lessons involving sophisticated movement sequences. The lessons directly engage our natural intelligence in a gentle and pleasurable way. ATM accesses the sensory motor processes of the brain and involves attention, perception, imagination and cognition. There are hundreds of lessons, addressing every joint and muscle group in the body and every human function.
Founder and Educational Director
Elizabeth Beringer has been involved with the practice and development of the Feldenkrais Method for more than 25 years and is one of the foremost Feldenkrais teachers and trainers. She studied directly with the founder of the Method, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, in both the U.S. and Israel between 1976 and 1983. Elizabeth has maintained an ongoing and varied private practice working with a diverse population including those with severe movement limitations, children, seniors, musicians and those in chronic pain. She has also worked extensively with athletes, martial artists and dancers and is known for her ability to apply the Method in dynamic situations. Elizabeth has limited availability for individual sessions.

Design and Development
Liz teaches Awareness Through Movement® at the Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego and has a private practice, where she teaches Functional Integration® in Golden Hill. She has over 30 years’ experience teaching creative arts. A dedicated outdoor adventurer, Liz spends each morning exploring the canyons of Balboa Park and the summers hiking and swimming in the Sierras. She is bilingual in Spanish.

Assistant Trainer, Feldenkrais Professional Training programs
Donna has been practicing and teaching the Feldenkrais Method for the past 15 years. Her extensive background in dance and martial arts has created a richness of personal movement experience that she can draw on in her practice of the Method. She is also particularly interested in how the Feldenkrais Method can foster creativity and affect perception. Donna works with a broad range of people and situations. She is bilingual and splits her practice between San Diego and Mexico. Donna is a certified assistant trainer and works as the continuity assistant in the Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego training programs.
